Success is defined as “the accomplishment of a purpose or aim.”
Exploration Question: What type of relationship or business do you want to have? Why haven’t you reached your goal? Who or what has served as an obstacle? Have you been trying to accomplish a goal for your personal or professional life and it’s just not happening? Frustrating right!
In order for you to be successful in life, you have to be willing to conduct a self assessment to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. Odds are, your assessment will highlight areas of your life that needs some revamping. However, who really wants to know what their flaws are.
Now that I have you thinking, let’s dive in!
Goal setting Flop! When was the last time you set a goal for yourself? When was your deadline to reach it? Oh wait, did you make one? How did you measure your goal? Oops, do you know how to measure your goal? As you can see, there are multiple steps to setting a goal, yet most people just “declare” a goal and dive in without a plan. Therefore, you have to set a goal that is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely. Are you not Consistent? So most of us are scared of this word! Think about, if you reflect on how many times you have made a declaration to yourself to make a goal, level up and elevate your mindset and/or behavior, what happened at the end? Are you that person who has a long list of incomplete task? Do you have the longest to-do list in life that you can not seem to cut down? Hmmm, probably because you have to be consistent with your daily routine. Oh wait, go to #3. I’m jumping ahead of myself. Bottom line, wake up, declare a goal for that day and make it happen.
Set a Morning routine! Do you have one? Email it to me! I’d love to hear it. If you don’t have one, let me help you figure this out. Again, this will be discussed in my FREE Goal Setting Mastery Course (Register here). A morning routine sets the tone for the day and you give yourself time to really think about what it is you want to accomplish for your day and what steps need to be in place to help you reach that goal.
Well, I hope these questions has your wheels spinning. I believe that everyone can be successful if they create daily habits such as a daily routine and remain consistent when working toward specific declared goal. Remember YOU serve as your biggest obstacle to success.
